This is a nice big backpack, and would work well for going on a short trip. It's too big for a casual day outing, in my opinion, but I stuffed it full of clothes and it has plenty of room for overnighters. I liked that while it does have slots that are appropriate for a laptop, they don't restrict the space like some computer bags do, they just flatten out if you want to fill the main compartment only. The backpack sits sturdy and flat on the ground when full, too. There are many zippered and slot pockets inside and out, and there's side cinching straps to tighten it up if the backpack is not completely full. The fabric is interesting; on the back it's standard canvas, and on the front side it's got some sort of rubberized coating to make it water resistant and easy to clean. I'm not sure how I feel about the look of this, as I usually like just regular canvas. I am just a bit worried that the coating will eventually get scratched and not look as nice. Also, I have no idea what all the loops down the center are for? I would prefer the look without those. The backpack appears to be well constructed and I expect that it will last a long time.

This backpack appears to have a rubberized coating on the outside to enhance water resistance. It is well made, but still weighs less than a pound. There is a zip closure outside pocket for things you want readily accessible and pockets on both sides for water bottles. Inside, under the top flap is a mesh fabric zip closure pouch for small items. Inside also are two big slip-in pockets large enough to hold even a 17 inch laptop. The second of the pockets could hold tablets (paper or electronic). The shoulder straps are nicely padded and a chest strap holds them where you want them. At the contact point where the pack sits on the hips, the pack is well padded with an open weave fabric to allow air circulation. The only thing missing is a waist (or hip) strap. With a 36 liter pack, there is a potential to load it quite heavily and I much prefer to carry as much weight as possible on my hips rather than hanging from my shoulders. That said, if this is used for short term day hikes or as a school pack, this will do the job nicely.

I was simply looking for a bag that had a shoe compartment to take to work with me. Little did I know this bag would become not only my work bag but a travel bag too! this bag holds enough to take on a week long trip! There is SOO MUCH SPACE! It acts as a carryon and is my go to bag for everything! This bag is extremely well made and is going two years strong! Even with a small tear in the strap this bag is still a favorite and really proved its worth! I brag about it to anyone who points it out.

Xmas present for teenage son, 2 weeks of use so far and excellent, it’s perfect because of the compartment for trainers/boots. Build to last which is just what is needed also.
